Melanie Fiona's debut album contains the hallmarks of an artist with far more experience than her youth implies - producers that have lent their talents to the likes of Lauryn Hill, Lily Allen and Amy Winehouse all make contributions. Those artists all seem to be an influence of sorts on Fiona, whose sassy R&B styling is both invigorating and fun. Songs like the single 'Give It To Me Right' and 'Sad Songs' both sample classic R&B tracks, lending the whole album a classy ambience that smacks of maturity, despite Fiona's youth.
